Angry Birds On PC: Graphics Error?

Angry Birds On PC: Graphics Error?

Perhaps one of the most or the most popular game today is the Angry Birds. Considered by some as the Super Mario of this generation, Angry Birds easily captivates all sorts of players from young to old. No one can’t argue its popularity, now that nearly everyone is talking about it. As a matter of fact, Hollywood is even having plans of making a movie out of this viral mobile game.

Angry Birds is a popular game in mobile devices like tablets and mobile phones. But also, this game has been made available in PCs or desktop computers. As opposed to the ease of downloading the game from app stores for mobile devices, making this game work in a desktop computer may be a little troublesome for some, including me. Today, when I tried playing the game in my PC I realized the error

“Error: Texture is too large 2048 x 2048, maximum supported is 1024 x 1024”

This immediately gave me an idea that the Angry Birds error must be a problem with my video card. And so I researched the error over the Internet and found out that it really is a problem with my outdated drivers.

If you are using the Windows OS, often you’ll have the most updated version of your display driver if you turn Windows Update automatically on. But for those who have this option switched off, then most likely your drivers are mostly outdated. Take note, Angry Birds is one of those games that need OpenGL. This is therefore not supported using GMA 500 graphics cards.

The easiest way to update your driver is to go to your control panel and search for your device manager and right click on your display adapter and choose “update.”

There are also some direct links to your graphics card update, whichever it is: you can go to the offcial ATI, NVIDIA or INTEL driver download sites. But usually the step above is the easiest way to solve the problem if you don’t know what your card is.

Hope this problem about Angry Birds On PC Graphics Error helped your similar Angry Birds error issue. Enjoy the game!
